Mastering a Foreign Language: How To Become A Brilliant Speaker, Part 6 of 7, ?Imitate Your Way to Fluency?

Imitation is the easiest route to fluency. If you imitate

something long enough, it will become real for you, and this is

especially true for mastering a foreign language.

You can see this easily in children, the world?s greatest

language learning machines. They imitate the language they hear

around them all the time. They hear something, try it, and see

what kind of reaction they get. They get feedback from family,

friends and teachers, and adjust and learn.

The use of imitation is a true language-learning gem, and it

will serve you well to the extent that you use it! Listen and

copy. Listen and copy. Listen and copy. Imitate until it is real

for you. Imitate your way to fluency.

You might be wondering how to do this, but really it is as

simple as it looks and sounds. As you listen to native speakers

of your target language, say on TV or on the radio, repeat back

what they say as soon as you hear it. This works especially well

with news broadcasts for two reasons. First, the announcers use

clear, standard pronunciation. Secondly, the speed at which

announcers speak is a natural for the native listeners, yet

moves along at a speed that is likely to present you with a bit

of a challenge, especially in the beginning.

At first you may find it a little hard to wrap your mouth around

all of those words, and that is fine. Be gentle with yourself

and know that the more you do it the better you will get at it.

The first few times you try it you might just catch a few words

here and there. Then you?ll breakthrough to being able to

imitate phrases, and then you?ll increase your ability so that

you will be able to repeat whole sentences and keep the string of

language going. Pretty soon you will be communicating you own

ideas with the same clarity and ease.

Before you know it you?ll be sounding like a TV star or

newscaster of that target language! You?ll have brilliant

pronunciation, and a greater ability to catch and understand the

words you hear from various speakers of that language, and

you?ll develop an incredible level of fluency that you acquired

in a very short time -- all through imitation!

Here?s to Your Success!

Getting Most out of Entertainment with Your Home Theater System

As we all know, this subject is something that we could all use a little education on no matter who you are.

These time it has never been sweeter to have a home theater system. Hollywood keeps pumping out trash, and the home entertainment technologies just keep receiving better, so its no marvel that people are more and more opting to delay home and stalk movies on their own home theatre systems sooner than in the cinemas.

With the film experience receiving more obnoxious and more dear every year, you just cant go wound with a home theater system if you like movies at all. Not only are the label prices ridiculous for movies, but you have to sit there and stalk a half an hour or more of painfully loud and trying advertisements and previews. I never used to intellect a few previews, but fifteen previews is a little much, especially when theyre kaput up with adds for Coke and other products. I dont have to pay $10.50 to stalk commercials; I can see as many commercials as I want for boundless at home.

Not only is scrutiny commercials cool to do from home, but renting or ordering movies is a quantity of cake these time as well. With online film rental companies like Netflix, and On petition movies from cable providers, its wholly effortless to keep a stream of good movies to stalk coming through your home. This ease of film scrutiny makes having a good home theater system truly pay off. While there is still an inherent excitement about going out to the movies, 4 time out of 5 Id sooner save the coins and stalk something on my home theater system. Especially with all the terrible movies in the theaters these days.

For the rest of this article, we will discuss the meaning behind what we have learned about this subject so far.

Home theater systems have gotten amazing in visual and audio quality. With Dolby 5.1 surround sound and a dull panel television of 36 inches or more, youre pretty greatly in film scrutiny heaven. Thats the set up I have, and it never ceases to knock me away.

If you find yourself receiving trying by the film experience in theatres, or for suchlike other logic just like to stalk movies at home, I advocate receiving a good home theater system. Theyre not as dear as you would think, and though they take a little effort and forecast to set up, they can truly make your video scrutiny nights a joy. I definitely advocate opting for surround sound. It truly makes you feel like youre in the movie, and is every bit as immersive as the cinema experience.

No matter which way you look at it, having a firm understanding of this topic will benefit you, even if it is just slightly.
